A Standing Ovation

The event center

When Dr. Rich Gasaway finished his Fireground Safety Workshop in Grand Rapids last Thursday night, the room of firefighters stood up and gave him a standing ovation. It was a remarkable evening.

Below is a random selection of comments from some of the signed evaluation forms the firefighters completed after the class:

-As a firefighter, fire officer, and fire instructor—this class is a must.
-I recommend this program to every fire department!
-It should be mandatory for all fire officers.
-Inspirational speaker.
-This presentation was eye opening!
-I strongly encourage anyone on a fire department to attend this class.
-Thank you, thank you, thank you!
-Many principles apply to all disciplines of life.
-Dr. Gasaway is articulate, experienced, sincere, and passionate.

The presentation
We thank Brooklyn Park and Grand Rapids for hosting the first two workshops. The remaining classes are in: Rochester on Oct. 1, Mankato on Oct. 2, Brainerd on Oct. 15, and Perham on Oct. 16. To register, go to www.lmc.org/fire12RB

The Police Leadership Workshops with Randy Means are also filling fast! The Bloomington workshop has already filled up, but there is still room for a few more at White Bear Lake on Oct. 3.

To register, go to www.lmc.org/police12RB

Remember:

Responder Safety = Public Safety

Up next time: “Lakeville PD and LMCIT Loss Control reduce accidents”

In the meantime, stay safe and be careful.
